　In this page I introduces our recommended restaurants in the center of Nicosia, Cyprus!

1. Asian restaurant chain　『Wagamama』

　First of all, we will introduce 『Wagamama』, our first Japanese restaurant in Cyprus. This is a chain restaurant with several stores in Cyprus.

　There are of couse many Japanese food like Sushi, Ramen, bowl food and also other asian food in the menu. But almost food were arranged Cyprus style expect Sushi.

　This is a the most expensive sushi plate in this restaurant. Colorful creative sushi, hosomaki salmon, and uramaki crabs are served. By the way, Cyprus sushi is often served with Chinese wakame.

　The uramaki are a bit rough, but the taste of sushi rice is similar to Japan, and the salmon and tuna were delicious.

　This is Tantan noodles. Although the taste is delicious, it is completely different from Japanese tantan noodles. The taste is light　chicken soup like eating at a Chinese restaurant and it has kimchi so it is just littel spicy!

　This is a vegetable dumpling that I regretted most when I ordered it. I thought there were plenty of leek and cabbage because it was vegetable dumplings, but there were no cabbage or leek inside. There were carrots, lotus root, paprika and my hated coriander. And the sauce was sweet and it isn't going well with dumpling. The looks was dumpling, but I was very disappointed.

　There are some dishes that are not arranged so well, but sushi is very good!

2. Authentic Chinese restaurant　『China Spice Restaurant』

　This is “China Spice Restaurant” where you can eat authentic Chinese food. I was a little nervous in the high-class restaurant.。

　Before the meal, we had something like seafood rice crackers often seen in Chinese restaurants.

　Wonton soup was a simple seasoned soup with lots of wonton! It was really delicious!

　This is Shumai I was looking forward to. Especially the shrimp Shumai in the middle was delicious! Other inside were delicious, but the skin was thick and the texture was a little bad.

　No matter what you eat, there is a feeling that it is made carefully and I think that it was similar to the taste of Chinese. The staff was also kind and good restaurant!

3. Indian Curry and Chinese restaurant　『EAST ASIAN RESTAURANT』

　The next restaurant is where you can eat Indian curry, first found in Cyprus.『EAST ASIAN RESTAURANT』. There were Indian dishes and Chinese dishes!

　This is a Chinese seafood soup. The taste of vegetables and seafood was so nice and it was really delicious. However, it was little salty, so it would go well with rice or noodles!

　This is Butter Chicken Curry and Nan I have been looking forward to most this time! However, I forgot to order without coriander, so it was disastrous for me. The chicken used breast meat, but it was soft and moist ! curry is also delicious, and I think that it was a really delicious curry without corianderi! Nan is a bit disappointing because it was a little hard.

　This restaurant also serves a buffet every Thursday from 20:00, and there is no time limit and you can enjoy sushi, Indian curry, Thai food and more for 20 euros per person!

　Both Chinese and Indian dishes are very friendly and delicious! We always take the leftover away because the serving was a bit big!

4. Italian　『Marzano』

　お洒落イタリアンの『Marzano』。料理の写真が美味しそうで前から気になっていたお店です。

　前菜、サラダ、パスタ、ピザ、リゾット、メインと料理の種類がとても豊富で迷ってしまします。

　こちらは旦那の大好きなラザニア。チーズがたっぷりで美味しそう！中は定番の牛ミンチとトマトソース、ホワイトソース！

　こちらは別日に2人で好きなものを注文した写真なのですが、きのこサラダ、きのこリゾット、きのこピザと、全てきのこになってしましました。笑

　ですがどれを食べても笑顔になってしまうくらい美味しい！特にきのこのサラダはグリルされたきのことベビーリーフがよく合いばくばく食べられます！

　ここはデザードメニューも豊富！ティラミスが食べたかったのですがこの日は残念ながら完売。ブリュレとアップルパイアイスを注文。ブリュレは厚めにキャラメリゼされた表面がパリパリで香ばしく私の好み！アップルパイアイスもシナモンが効いていて美味しかったです！

　さすが本格イタリアンだけあって、何を食べても美味しかったです！ただ店員さんが少ないのでなかなか声をかけにくいのが難点…。

5. Italian cafe and restaurant　『PAUL』

　続いてもイタリアン。日本でも馴染みのある『PAUL』です。ただ外観がめちゃくちゃお洒落でびっくり！

　この日注文したのはオニオンスープ、コロッケ、パスタ、ラムですが注文しすぎ、食べるのに苦戦。デザートも食べたかったのですが断念。

　オニオンスープは豪快にパンが器！色が濃い割にはあっさりしていて美味しかったですがパンは食べ切れませんでした。笑

　パスタは今までのキプロス料理からすると驚くほど味が薄かったですが、重たい食事が続いていた私たちにはちょうど良く、飽きずに食べられました。

　最後はラム。2人ともお肉の中ではラムが好きなのですが、ここのラムは少し想像と違い、どちらかというと鹿のような香りがあり食べにくかったです。

　PAULはもともとパン屋さんなので、テイクアウトようのショーケースにはバケットや惣菜パン、キッシュ、美味しそうなスイーツも多く陳列されています。次回は必ずデザートまで辿り着きたいと思います！

6. Anyway this is cheap! Pizza shop　『BAKE 'N' TAKE』

　こちらはファーストフードのような感覚で利用できるピザ屋さん。ピザが1枚3ユーロからと格安で、地元の人から人気のお店です。

　これだけ買って8ユーロほど。やっぱり安い！

　肝心の味ですが、ピザはトマトソースとチーズのみのシンプルなものを注文。生地は少し厚めですがその辺のチェーンのピザよりは美味しいと思います！

　2つのカルツォーネのようなものは、一つはキプロス名物のハロウミチーズ、もう一つはヴィーガンメニューのマッシュポテトがそれぞれ中に入っています。ですが生地は厚めで口の中でゴワゴワしました。ハロウミチーズは大好きなのですが、これはちょっと相性が良くないなと感じました。

　かなり安いのでこの味でも全然ありかなと思います！ご飯を作るのがめんどうな時や簡単に食事を済ませたい時におすすめです！

　一応外にはイートインスペースもありますが、基本は持ち帰りのお店になります。

7. Seafood Cyprus resutaurant　『Pyxida Fish Tavern』

　最後の紹介するのは、キプロスのシーフード料理が食べられる人気店！写真がなくて申し訳ないのですが、本当に美味しかったのでご紹介させていただきます！

　この日はキプロス人の知人に連れてきてもらい、いろいろな料理を少しずつ食べられる「メゼ」というコーススタイルを教えてもらいました。

前菜、サラダ、ポテトと始まり、その後順番にいろいろなシーフードのフライやグリルが10種類以上運ばれてきました。量がかなり多いので、残してしまってももちろん大丈夫で、希望すれば持ち帰ることもできます！

　最後はキプロス伝統のデザード2種とシャーベット (キプロス原産の木のエキスを使用した) をいただきました。デザートは歯が溶けそうなくらい甘かったですが、シャーベットが良い感じに中和してくれました。

　いつか自分たちでも行ってみたいレストランの一つです！
